With over 25 years of global experience in Holistic Wellness, Ruth Acar brings thoughtful, bespoke clinical aromatherapy and restorative massage therapies to the Calder Valley, in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire.
A Lifelong Passion
Aromatherapy captured my heart during my HND college studies in Scotland in my late teens. I was also deeply inspired by my mother, who found profound comfort in holistic remedies during her cancer treatment in the 1990s, at a time when awareness of clinical aromatherapy was still developing.
Throughout my early career, I continued to weave together my love of luxury spa, holistic health and therapist education. In 2023, in loving memory of my mother, I gained my prestigious IFPA Clinical Aromatherapy Diploma with Distinction, further deepening my commitment to sharing the therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy and making them accessible to everyone.
Global Inspirations
My clinical style goes far beyond a conventional spa massage. I have travelled the world training therapists across diverse cultures, discovering unique botanicals, healing traditions and mindful practices along the way. Living abroad and becoming a mother also reinforced for me the essential value of compassionate self-care.
Today, I weave these global insights into bespoke sessions, tailored to each person’s unique physical and emotional needs.
Community Support
Every treatment provides an opportunity for complete escapism, deep relaxation and thoughtful guidance. My clients leave not only feeling cared for and restored, but equipped with personalised rituals to nurture their health and wellbeing at home.
Rooted firmly in the Halifax community, I also volunteer regularly with the Complementary Therapy Team at Overgate Hospice, sharing the gentle benefits of touch and aromatherapy with those navigating life-limiting illnesses and receiving palliative care.
